IKEA Vaughan - Expansion Tour

The Brief

Conduct a comprehensive aerial and exterior visual survey to document the expansion of the IKEA Vaughan retail footprint. The objective was to capture the scale of the new development, integrating architectural updates with the existing lot geometry and surrounding transit corridors for stakeholder review.

The Challenge

Operating drones in a high-density commercial zone near the heavily trafficked Highway 400 interchange required precise airspace management. The visual documentation needed to clearly showcase structural scale and updated vehicle routing without interrupting active customer traffic or ongoing retail operations.

The Approach

Executed targeted high-altitude overviews to map the total site footprint, combined with dynamic, low-altitude perimeter passes. Captured sweeping cinematic establishing shots of the exterior expansion alongside detailed stills highlighting structural integration and ingress/egress updates.

Delivered a complete visual asset package featuring 4K aerial video and high-resolution site photography, providing stakeholders with clear, compelling documentation of the expansion's scale, commercial readiness, and regional visibility.
